The Global Health Body Raises Concern Over Severe Scarcity of Obesity Jabs

Under a tenth of individuals who could benefit from obesity jabs including Wegovy have access to them, states the WHO as it issues its first recommendations on the drugs.

Despite the current most optimistic outlook, the supply of GLP-1 therapies might only reach approximately 100 million people – less than 10% of those who need them, according to the health organization.

The advice urges governments and firms to expand availability, via approaches like patent sharing.
