I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
